Set up in 2001, the .NAME universal domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level names remained running.

Through our company, you can get your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular terms on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
